Bits of Time
Bits of Time is a meandering thread of happy memories … ice fishing on a small lake in Michigan, learning needle arts from mom, dad as an automotive engineer with a basement full of tools and, more recently, my recollections of the years of renovating an 1800’s farmhouse with my husband and children. I cherish what these images represent for me, the love, beauty, stability, and strength of family. Living in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire, I find that many of those aging “bits” that fuel my memory and my photography are all around me: an old family shed, hiking in the backwoods of New England, the Brimfield Antiques Fair. I’ve found other “bits” in my travels throughout the country. Whenever I come across one, it evokes that slower pace of life, an idyllic time of happiness, security, and safety.
